SOCIAL EVENTS A merry crowd gathered at the Walsh jewelry store last evning and from there went to the home of Miers Weber on South Main street, where the evening was pleasantly spent with games and music. In a guessing contest the first prize was awarded to Miss Nellie Cowgill and second to James T. Walsh. Music was furnished by James Guyett. Dur ing the evening refreshments were served and all departed at a late hour, wishing Mr. Weber many more happy birthdays. A skating party was given at the Woodson skating rink last night by the members of the K. K. K. society, which is composed of a number of young ladies of the Asbury neighbor hood. Skating was enjoyed until 9:30 o'clock, when an excellent luncheon was served. ‘Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hembrough chaperoned the party. Among those present were Misses Cva Mortimer, Adelaide Rawlings, Lillian and Lulu Hembrough, Lennie Rees, May Smith, Lena Taylor, Bes sie Reed, Myrtle Seymour, Agnes Megginson, and Messrs.
