COMMUNICATION.K.tior of th • Piohkkr Ezmni.In your Issue of Junuury 5th, I And the following resolution In the county commissioners proceedings.“On motion, resolved that this board tender the thanks of Pembina county to Neil Thompson, county treasurer, for having the past year turned Into the county fund $650. This being the first time In the history or this county of such action by any county official.Now, Mr. Editor, why this resolution? Did Mr. Thompson take this money out of his salary, or Is it a part of the Interest or the county money held by the hanks of this county? If the lutter then he has not turoed In enough. Or If It belonged to the county why thank W!m for It? If It does not belong to the county, why do the commissioners receive It? This county Is not seeking donations, or at least does not need assistance, as the la6t cash balance shows a nice, snug sum to credit of the county fund. Gentlemen of the county board let us know. Do not keep the electors of this county In suspense. We would like to know where this money came from, and what was or is the object of the above resolution.T. A. It.
