• ►Lager in a Spring. One of the numerous prides of Ed. Beyer’s life is the sparkling water | which flows from the springs in Beyer Bros. Spring Fountain Park, at Warsaw. Ed. long cherished the idea that there was a magnetism or charm in that water which added several years to the other end of the lives of those who used it and made them always jolly and gay as youth, and he was anxious to know what it was. Ah, ha; the idea stikes him. “Have the water analyzed.” Andhe did.He ordered one of his men to take a quart bottle full of the spring water to a Warsaw chemist. The request was complied with and a beer bottle, found in the Park, was used. Some days afterward the chemist met Ed. and told him those springs were worth millions. “Why sir,” said he, “I find by a carefull analysis that the water is thirty-three and one-third per cent high grade lager beer.”And Ed. hasn’t told the chemist to this day that the fellow who secured the sample of the spring water had neglected to rinse the beer out of his bottle.gressit habothby (BoarButwell.ford
