Pianist Jennifer Anderson was presented a gift of appreciation by club president, Mel McFarling, on behalf of the membership.State Representative Qlenn Repp stopped by to say hello and stayed for the meeting.Crystal Evans, Host Lion'sClubs student of the month for January, was accompanied by her mother, Lois Evans. Crystal is a student at Duncanville High School and participates in the Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Inroads, and Flag Corps. She also enjoys singing in her church choir.She plans to attend Georgetown University in Washington, DC. and major in business management.Program Chairman RonBackus introduced Lion's 2X-1 District Governor Joe Montag who, following a standing ovation, brought the club up to date about the 2X-1 District events coming up this year.Governor Montag thenperformed one of the best duties of a Lions Clubs governor, inducting new members into Lionism: Lion Judy Grogan and Lyn Summers.
