'Great River Road' On 1961 Iowa Maps! AMES — The official 1961Iowa highway map will carry i new symbol, a green river-; boat and wheel marking the { Great River Road, a scenic I route on roads following the Mississippi river, the state highway commission said today.In Iowa, the “Great River Road follows parts of U.S. highways 61, 67, and 52, Iowa highways 99. 22, 340 and 180,and county roads in Allamakee, Clayton, Dubuque and Lee counties. No actual construction cn the parkway through a scenic corridor the entire length of the river, has been under-i taken in Iowa. However, the I 1961 map will indicate present roads included in the proposed j -'cenic route.
