Ayers Co. will be torn down and removed to the new site, where ft will form part of a one-story building:. which will be 60x120 feet. At the Towanda plant doors, windows, blinds and inside trimmings will be manufactured, a general planing mill business will be conducted and a trade in retail coal and builders* supplies carried on. It is expected that between 15 and 2T men will be employed at the Towanda plant.The plant of C. R. Davis, Sons Co., on North Main street, this city, will be continued and a retail lumber business carried on, together with a light, manufacturing business. The stockholders of the new corporation are J. M. and R. M. Ayers, of 'Towanda, Charles R. Davis, VV. H. Davis and George Drury, of this city. C. R. Davis will be general manager of the corporation and will divide his time between- the Pittston and Towanda plants. He is a man of considerable experience in the mill and lumber business. Mr. Drury will be treasurer Of the new company. Mr. Davis* sons will be In charge of the machine work of the Towanda plant.Concerning the Towanda plant of the company, the Towanda Review says- m M. Ayers, now assistant superintendent of the Hawes factory here, Tias resigned his position and win devote his entire time to the new company. It is proposed to use electrical power and to have separate motors on each machine. New and up-to-date machinery will be installed and a fine plant constructed.”
