IMPORTANT CHANGE IN LOCAL BUSINESSTowanda- Planing Mill tiftri PRtstonDumber Co. Ifave l|fon Merged and Will be Incorporated.A business deal has just been closed by which the C. R. Davis. Sons Co., of This city, and the 13. M. Myers Planing Mill Co., of Towanda, have been merged. A charter Is to be applied for, with an authorized capital of $20,000, and the ,new corporation will be known as the Drury Manufacturing Co.Ground will be broken next week for the Towanda plant of the company whioh will be located on two acres of ground on the Odams estate near Eilenberger’s coal yard along the Dehigh Valley tracks, above the upper stutlon. The present plant of the IS. M. Ayers Co. .will be torn down and removed to the new site, where ft will form part of a one-story building, which will be 60x120 feet. At the Towanda plant doors, windows, blinds and inside trimmings will be manufactured, a general planing mill business will be conducted and a trade in retail coal and builders' supplies carried on. It is expected that between 15 and 2D men will be employed at the Towanda plant.The plant of C. R. Davis, Sons Co., on Ttforth Main street, this city, will be continued and a retail lumber business carried on, together with a light manufacturing business. Thef-ii(I3
