Last Monday evening Theodore Robbins, Forest Ellsworth and two Krutneueker boys imbibed too freeljr of distilled water ond got into trouble. They went to the residence of Jacob Shoaff in the west end of towu and there behaved themselves in such a manner that Tuesday morning an aflb davit was tiled before ’Squire Crippeu charging them with malicious trespass. Robbins and Ellsworth, when arraigned before the justice, were fined and costed to the extent of $1(1.10 eacli. This amount was paid in each ease, When Marshal Grabner went to the home of Sain Shirey to arrest the Krnmeneker boys, he was met by Mrs. Shirey, who, armed with a club, entertained the official until her brothers escaped from the rear of the house, and they are still at large. That is chapter No. 1. Yesterday Marshal Grabner went to Fort Wayne and filed an affidavit aguiust Mrs. Shirey, charging her with assault and battery, and her case is being heard today. Robbins in a married man and has always borne a good reputation and it is a general surprise that he was caught in such a scrape. Forest Ellsworth is a hard-working young man and alwaysbehaves himself when sober, and we feel safe in saying that had he not been drinking he would not have been guilty of such disgraceful actions* W« hope this will prove a lesson for ali concerned.
