for the position. We hope he will accept.—Mr. John Swartz celebrated the 38th anniversary of his birthday on Wednesday evening by entertaining a number of his brethern and friends of the Jr. 0. U. A. M. of which order he is a prominent member. It was a very pleasant party and much enjoyed by all present, and as a testimony of their regard the “boys” presented Mr. and Mrs. Swartz with several handsome pieces of silver ware for the tea-table.
