Roland Skeete memorial to be held FridayMemorial services will be held in North Hollywood on Friday for Roland C. Skeete, 65, who died Tuesday in Payson Hospital after a long illnes s.Mr. Skeete was born inBarbados, British West I-ndies, and was raised in southern California where he also spent most of his life.He pioneered special effects in the motion picture industry for Universal Studios. he retired from the profession in January, 1973, and moved to Payson with his wife in August.Mr. Skeete is survived by his wife, Barbara, Pay-January 17, 1974 / PAYSON ROUNDUP / Page 3son; two sons, Roland N. Skeete, Encino, Calif., and Maj. Kenneth Smith, servingth UJS. Air Force in I-taly; a daughter, Mrs. Lor-na Janisch, Simi, Calif.; four brothers, Norman, Whispering Pines, and three in California; two sisters also in California; eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.Memorial services will be held in North Hollywood,Calif., at 2 p.m. Friday in the Steen Memorial C ha pal. The services will be conducted by Dr. Viola Neal.Those new French pictures are awful. Why I saw one and I was actually embarrassed by it. In fact, I was embarrassed by it the second and third time I saw it.
