Met With Accident While Skating.i Saturday evening about 0 o’clock, ^ while a young lady of about seven,- j teen, Miss Jessie Mapes, laughter of Mr. Ben Mapcs, -was skating on the small rink opposite the Public Library, she stumbled in some way and Tell heavily, with her feet caaght together. Tbo manner and force of the fall broke her right leg between the* ankle? and knee. Comrades carried her into a nearby house, when a doctor was called and she was then taken in a cab to her homo, where her leg was set. To-day shq is doing well, but will not be ablo tq skate j again this winter. • . |
