As midnight approached, members stood ontheir desks howling and yelling like mud men. The Republicans told the Democrat* to keep on their own side of the house. John Baker, James Me Hale, Sullivan, of Cook,and a party of Republicans stood in front ol the shaker's desk. To all appearances the floor of the house was about to l»e turned into the scene of a little discussion which would be fought out without hard gloves.
