Dances, Banquet, Skits Highlight 1%9 Greek Week.The Monmouth College Greeks have announced the final plans for fluiir annual Greek Week to be held January 22 through 25. Although called Greek Week die scheduled events are for the cnt«r;:aijiment of the entire campus not merely the Greeks. To be successful the Greeks need your support.The events of the week will be kicked off 'bv Wednesday night’s banquet which Wbl be held in the Student Center dining room. Entertainment for the. evening will be provided by the sorority and fraternity pledge classes. Each pledge class will present a five minute skit.Thursday night at eight o'clock the Greeks will sponsor John Putman jn ail all-acmpiii convocation. Putman, who became blind at the age of nineteen, was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of America. Putman, now twenty-eight, overcame his blindness to be recognized us an extraordinary athlete, earn degrees in political science and history and a masters in psynology and teach and serve on the 'administration of two universities.The Greek Week Queen will be crowned at Thursday's banquet. Candidates for queen -are - Marcia Dewar, Peggy Gam well, Pi Plii; Linda Margherio, Linda Secord, Kappa; •Mary Pirn, Jennifer Barnes, KD; and Cornelia Kcliy, Janet Quinn, A-ZD.Concluding the week’s activities will .be an all-campus semi-formal ' dance. The Changing Tyde Review will provide unique entertainment of sight and sound. The dance will be ■ held from nine .to twelve in the Student Center and will cost three dollars per couple.
