Sam Janes of Rosebud was digging some post holes on his farm in the Cedar Springs com munity last Friday, when to his surprise he dug up some bones of a skeleton. Having found the first two or three bones, which he thought were legs or arms, he dug fur ther and found a skull, jaw, teeth and other bones, such as hip and knee joints. He took some of the bones over to the Reed Watkins place and they decided to report the find to Sheriff Brady Pamplin of Martin. Sheriff Pamplin went out to the Janes place, and they all made further explorations and found bones that suggested that possibly four or five people had been buried there, probably as far back as in the days of the Indians. These skeletons were buried about three feet deep, and were on the top of a hill that is well drained and deterioration is rath er slow. Mr. Juanes has been farming there about thirty years and had never before found any thing like this.
