Sawmill Operator Dies Of Heart Attack At TilleryRobert W. Cummings, 68, died at Tillery, where he has been operating a sawmill for the past several years, last Saturday. Death came as a result of a heart attack a few minutes before he died. Funeral services were held at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church near Elkin Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the church cemetery.Mr. Cummings came to Halifax County from Surry County several years ag«. He and his son have been engaged in sawmilling near Tillery since that time.He is survived by his wife of near Elkin; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Martin of near Elkin; and a son, P. M. Cummings of Tillery.
