• WALNUT.*********]Our Sunday school and B. Y. P. U. are holding up well for the weather to be so cold and bad, and we hope the people will still continue to come out.Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kinney are expected home from Texas in a few days, where they have been spending the past month.Mr. Floyd Evans has purchased a new car.Rev. Wiley Holland has been right sick this week with flu, but we hope he will soon be out again.Mr. and Mrs. Niceler Kinney are rejoicing over the arrival of a little son, on the eighth.Misses Evie Brookshire and Junia 1 Usher are moving on nicely with the J1 school here, and we hope the good people will do all they can in helping them make our school a standard this year.Rev. Escoe Logan of Athens visited Messrs. Henry Brookshire and Willie Evans the latter part of the holidays, after which they all returned to Mercer University.Mr. Russell Phillips and Miss Lula Mathews were married during the Christmas holidays. Mr. Phillips was one of our soldier boys, and will soon be home from camp to stay. We wish them a prosperous and happy life.Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Banks visited the latter's parents at Clermont recently.
