The west and north walls are decoraxed with folds of banting, evergreen ropes and set , ieces. The stars and ac-chore used In the council chamber are the finest used in the building. The balcony railing is decorated with flags and evergreen stars, wreaths and crossesHOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESThe finest dr covations in the building are in the hall of the house of representatives. The speaker’s desk is festooned with ropes of ever greens and flags. A festoon of hunting extends from tne ceiling lo the first windows on the balcony walls. Back lt;f tne speaker’s desk are flags, stars and anchors in evergreen, while the side walls are adorned with banting, festooned with fl*ga and evergreens, wreaths, plants ir terra cotta urns and hanging baskets. The bill of fare consisted of all the delicacies of the season, and was in substance as follows: Roast pi*, garnished.Roast him garnished.Baaeler8—Turkey, chicken, geese and ducks Oystera served in every style.Celery and cold meats of every kind Lobster, chicken, sdoioa and other salaiB. There were four frait pyramids, averaging in height four feet each.There were also fifteen smaller pyramids as irnaments.Oranges, grapes and other delicious fruit*, with tea, coffee, milk aud chocolate, together rith every kind of choice nnta aud rich eake6 making the tables a scene of sublime beauty as well as uni quailed for the many good thing?* up .n it.The decoration^ of the hall and tables werf npntifal, cmd. the immense crowd enjoyed the spread in a manner highly gratifying to the donors. IDANCING.During all of tho evening tha stylish and dig ditied throng made the air whiz and the brain vhirl in the ever-changing windings of the ianoe, and notwithstanding the vast amount of oom in the builamg, there was a continuajam in every boll and nook and corner.___________the illumination.The illumination n£ ihe building waa brill rent and perfect.
