Darragh was arrefi^ed in New York for picking : pockets^and while, in arrest was recognized'by Detective Diqkson, of Chicago^who was engaged in’ banting hiat/down. Our reader.s will be glaa to learn that one of the scoundrels, at least, is. safe in jail, and will be-bgld responsible forthe murder of the late sheriff and we hope it will not be long before we shall be able to announce tbearrest of the other p arty^wb a w|8 engaged in the affair.Ioihis connection, we would mention the fact that during last uteek, the burglars confined in jail succeeded in making a. saw out of a case knife, -with which Raymond sawed off his irons, and, together* with his comrades,-at-, tempted to burn their way out of, jail, but was detected,-and are now. so securely iroued that they will not have another opportunity to try their skill at jail breaking. - «.
