JOHN RAINSFuneral services for John Wilson Rains, 21, of Somerville, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14,1998, at New Life Worship Center, with Rev. Gary Faulkner officiating. Interment followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville.Visiting hours were from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 1998, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 1998, at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville.Mr. Rains died Sunday, January 11, 1998, in Caldwell.He was bom August 27,1976, in Dallas, the son of Ronnie Rains and Rita Juanita Amos. He was employed as an oil field worker at Bennett Drilling Co.Survivors include his wife, Susan Rains; his mother and stepfather, Rita and A1 Brower of Somerville; his father, Ronnie Rains; his grandmother, Laura Amos of Calvert; one sister, Rhonda Schroeder of Somerville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Pallbearers who served were Michael Barrett, Richard Barrett, Melvin Moore, Jr., John Garcia, Joel E.
