Area Mrs. Irene J. Johnson CHILDRESS (Spe) — Mrs. Irene Jewel Johnson, 58, a retired employe of Saied’s Department Store, died Mon day at Childress General Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Marvin James, pastor. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Newberry Funeral Home Mrs. Johnson, born at Childress, had worked at Saied’s for 22 years. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Ruth Smith of Amarillo and Mrs. Celita Carol Roe of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Lee Burton of Simi, Calif., and Paul Burton of Azle; four sisters, Mrs. Robin Trewett of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Louise Horton of Dinuba, Calif., Mrs. Joe Wilkerson of Lake Alfred, Fla, and Mrs. Claudia Nelli Mink of Flectra; and five grandchildren. Neulan Anderson CANADIAN--The funeral for Neulan ‘‘Pecos’’ Anderson, 63, a Canadian rancher, will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church Officiating will be the Rev. Smiley Johnson, pastor. Burial will be in Canadian Cemetery by Stickley Hill Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson died west of Panhanele on U.S. Highway 66 Monday afternoon after suffer ing an apparent heart attack, causing his car to go off the highway and into a wheat field. Survivors include the widow, Betty; three sons, Jim Bill of Higgins, Joe of the home and son of Canadian; three brothers, Ray of Hereford, Morris of Rockport, Mo., and Frank of Jefferson City, Mo., and four sisters, Mrs. Clesta Smith of Borger, Mrs. Agnes Brown of Perryton, Mrs. Berta Johnson of Round Rock and Mrs. Willie Carruth of Utah. George W. Stoughton FOLLETT — George W. Stoughton, 81, a retired farmer, died early Monday at Newman Memorial Hospital at Shattuck, Okla. Roy Smith CLOVIS, N.M. (Spe) — C. Fioy Smith, 82, a former Clovis mayor, died Monday at his home .The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Steed Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fred Brewton, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, of ficiating. ’ Mr. Smith, born at Matador, came to Clovis in 1929. He founded First Federal Savings Loan Association in 1934 and served as its president until his retirement in 1959 He served as mayor from 1945 to 1946 and was active in various community organizations. He was a Mason and served as a former Grand Master of the Clovis lodge. He was a Shriner. Eisenmenger _ MOBEETIE— Herbert A. Eisenmenger, 74, a longtime ‘Mobeetie farmer, died Monday , an apparent heart attack. “The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Hale, officially. Burial will be in Mobeetie Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home at Wheeler. Mr. Eisenmenger was found dead late Monday on a Kelton farm where he had been working. Mr. Eisenmenger, born at Round Top, had been a Mobeete resident 66 years. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include a brother, Louie of Arlington, and several nieces and nephews, including the niece with whom he made his home, Mrs. Brooks McLaughlin of Mobeetie. Mrs. Etta F. Parrigin CLARENDON — Mrs. Etta Frances Parrigin, 66, a former Clarendon resident, died Satur day at Modesto, Calif. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Church of Christ here with Tom Waters, minister of Eastridge Church of Christ at Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Wellington by Schooler-Gordon- Robertson Funeral Home of Clarendon. Mrs. Parrigin, born at Pilot Point, had been a Clarendon resident 15 years before moving to California two years ago. She married Call Parrigin in 1941 at Hollis, Oklo. He died in 1967 She was a member of Church Christ. Florida, died Friday at Northwest Texas Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Anderson, born at McLean, came to Amarillo 10 years ago from Borger. She was a member of Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ. Survivors include a son, a daughter, a brother, a sister, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Homer W. Watson Homer W. Watson, 69, of 4825 W. 9th, died Tuesday in the Veterans Administration Hospital. Born in Blue Ridge, Tex., he had resided in Amarillo for 25 years. He was he refired postal service employe. He was a veteran of id War II and was a member of West Amarillo Church of Christ. He is survived by a niece, Mrs. Yvonne Smith, of Pampa. Family and friends will be at 815 Carolina. Thomas Coffey Jr. The funeral for Thomas Clif ford Coffey Jr., 47, a pipe-fitter for Texaco, will be at 10 a.m. today in Pleasant Valley Bap tist Church. Officiating will be the Rev Charles Ivey, pastor. Graveside rites will be at 4 p.m. today in Buffalo Cemetery at Mayfield, Okla., by Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Mr. Coffey, of 7614 Hermosa, died Sunday at St. Anthony's Hospital. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include the widow, his mother, four brothers and three sisters. Albert L. Beckworth Graveside services for Albert L. Beckworth, 81, a retired farmer, will be at 10 a.m. today at Liano Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert T. Metzger, pastor of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel. Mr. Beckworth, of 2408 S. Roberts, died Sunday at Vivian's Nursing Home. Elsewhere Mrs. Ada Foster Ward has been received of the death of Mrs. Ada Foster, a former Amarillo resident who died Saturday at her home in Palmdale, Calif Mrs. Foster was the mother of Mrs. Ruby Lewis of 1321 NW 12th in Amarillo. She had lived in Amarillo from 1927 to 1940. In addition to Mrs. Lewis, survivors include a son, Edward Grimes of Los Angeles. The funeral will be announced by Valley Chapel Funeral Home at Palmdale. Mrs. Marian A. Phillips Mrs. Marian Ann Phillips, 74, a former Amarillo resident, died Tuesday at 2 Dallas hospital Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery at Dallas by Restland Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis John son, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, will officiate. Mrs. Phillips lived in Amarillo from 1960 to 1974. She was a retired dress designer for Marcy Lee Clothing Manufac turers at Dallas. She was a member of West minster Presbyterian Church in Amarillo. She had recently moved to Dallas to live with a son because of illness. Survivors include a son, F. E. Hahnel of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. H. C. Hollowell of Springfield, Mo.; and two grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Girlstown at Whiteface. Area Woman Faces Burglary Charges BORGER (Spc)—A 22-year old Borger woman, Kathryn La mont Keener of 906 Harrington, remained in the Borger City Jail late Tuesday in lieu of $10, 000 bond following a charge of burglary in connection with a break-in at the Ideal Food Store, 1090 Coronado Circle. Police say they arrested Miss Keener shortly after 1 a.m. Monday after receiving a report regarding the burglary. An estimated $600 in drugs was recovered inside the store following the arrest. Chief Arthur Waight said the investigation shows at least one other person is believed to have been involved in the burglary. Entry into the food store was through a front door window, which had been broken, officers said
