HONOLULU (AP) — Elvis Presley, moving from strenu ous rock. ‘n' roll hits to tender ballads and back again, was beamed into millions of homes during a concert telecast via satellite to 36 countries around the world. From “Hound Dog and “Blue Suede Shoes” to “All My Troubles, Lord,’ the 38-year-old singing star staged an hour long show Sunday. There were squeals of delight from the per ennial cluster of teen-aged girls, most not even born when he launched his career. Between songs, Elvis kept up a steady exchange of trinkets with the girls who stretched up to encircle the stars head with flower leis. Elvis, in response, did wipe his sweating brow with a handy supply of chiffon scarves and toss them into the crowd. The battering climaxed at the end when he took off the cape of his bejeweled jumpeut and tossed it into the audience, creating a pile of feminity in the scramble to acquire the ultimate souvenirs of the might.
