Not ink, it was think.A friend of mine who reads the Bounce asked if I had stepped on some one’s toes. I have found out that a writer is like a shoe clerk— you sometimes put out a shoe that fits. So I must say to those who crab to others what I write “but never say a word to me” that if the shoe fits, wear it.I wonder how many people will read and cut out the slip that Clark McNeal wants. I did, and I think it is a step in the right direction to ask people their views on matters to come before the Iowa lawmakers. I suggest the Monitor follow this idea during this Iowa session and see what reaction they getI see where Ciraon is going to ask C.R.I. P. to place flashers on Main street. I can't see how they or State Highway commission could refuse. I may be wrong but it seems to me the highway commission has some way of placing railroad flashers In the past year three such flashes have been put in places where there is not as much danger as Clarion main street: one at Canesboro. one two miles cast oi Somers, one two miles east of Manning. All tnree arc graveled roads and not main traveled cement roads.Nov.* if the city council would replace th two hour parking signs on Main street and around court house square, stop double parking. force trucks to use alleys or unloading docks, we might call Clarion up to date. Does that make sense? I don't think so.Coes to Badger Elevator EAGLE GROVE—Robert Jones has been named to succeed rran-cjs Grandgeorge of the Badger Cooperative elevator. Jones is employed at present at the Eagle Gtov« Cooperative in the position formerly held by Grandgeorgc. Grandgeorgc goes to manage the elevator at Malcolm.
