This was signed by W 'Villev. now dead, and by Roswell Aost and was given to Mr. Luce aid, in payment of money owed him Mr. Willey.ie note was discounted at the Pro-National bank by Mr. Luce and •as shown by the bank's memoran-on the back that it was paid four ths later, which was two months re it became due. On the back of note was a memoranda by Mr. st, showing that he gave credit $12, for three days' plowing done Mr. Luce. According to this mom-lda the plowing was done in .Tulv. 2, but Mr. Luce presented in evi ce u diarv showing that the plow-was done in July. 1913,[r. Luce contended that the money i paid to him in the manner and at time it was paid because he needed Jo make a payment on a farm and t Mr. Willey owed him about $l'»u the time. Mr. Willey did not have money. Mr. Luce said, but prepared note and got Mr. Frost's signature. Jr. Frost contended that as he re in bored the transaction it was mon-loaned by him to Mr. Luce and that had never been paid hack and for it reason he had given him credit the back of the note for $12 for •ee days' plowing.
