' Died.—January the 4th 1884, at his home in Jackson township, Benton Co., Iowa, of Paralysis at o o’clock Mr. George Baum, who had been a resident of Jackson township for nearly thirty yean.:- MivBeum quietinasiumiiig gentremhny respected by all his neighbors as his funeral fully proved; it being one of the largest -ever held in that vicinity. - His : age - was nearly 82 year. But he was prepared for the harvest and only awaited the Savior’s'call, who bn the above day gathered him home like a shock of [ Wheat fully ripe. His funeral services were conducted by Re v. John of the t J. B. church, of which Fatlier Baum was a member, and Rev. Ridenour^f: Jackson - township. His long suffering is oyer., He no longer waits.
