Lane died Monday morning, January 11, at 5.30 at a Waterloo hospital, where she was taken on January 2 suffering from heart trouble and complications.As Charlotte M. Cramer, she was the daughter of George and Lydia Cramer, born March 13, 1868, in La Porte City. She married Thomas J. Lane in Septcm-her, 1885, at Mt. Auburn and Jived in La Porte City and vicinity all her life. They retired from the farm to La Porte City about 2G years ago and MrT Lane died in September, 1939.Mrs. Lane was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah lodge and was active in both as long as her health would permitShe is survived by three sons, Edward of Brandon, and George and Will of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; tv;o sisters, Mrs. C Broad of La Porte City and Mrs. Ida Downs of Clearwater, Fla.The funeral service was on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Barnhart and Johannsen funeral home with Rev. Ralph Supplee of the Methodist church officiating.Burial was in Ingledow cemetery near Mt. Auburn.Mrs Frank Nabholz sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. C. A. Brust.Casket bearers were Burrel Wilder, Ray Runyan, John Triem, Milt Harmor, Thurm Howrey mid P. W. O'Brien.
