HOPLAND, Jan. 11.—The Hop land P. T.A. are holding a regular meeting in the high school audi torium Saturday, January 15. . A very interesting program has been arranged. Mr. J. Cross, superin tendent of schools in Santa Rosa, is going to give the address. The ob ject of this meeting is to obtain the support of the men in the commun ity. Saturday night will be known as ‘Fathers’ Nite.” Mr. and Mrs. Ed McMuhen left for San Francisco on business Wed nesday evening. They will return the first of the week. The Hopland high school basket ball team was defeated by the Lake port team: last Saturday night at Lakeport by a score of 14 to 8. Mrs. Lila Dawe and Mrs. Edith Harrington motored to Ukiah Wed nesday. Mrs. J. Geary has been quite ill in her home in Hopland for the past week. She is slowly improving. Mr. and Mrs. G. Grant were guests at the Judge Clendenin home last Sunday , Mr. and Mrs. H. Porter were guests at the Hixon home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Porter are from Kelseyvlle. Mr. Fagerskog, of Sacramento, was over the last of the week in his airplane. He comes over this way quite often to see his baby boy, who Mrs. George Dawe takes care of. While Mr.Fagerskog was here many Hoplanders took the opportunity to ride in the air. Among those who went up were: Tom Myers, George Sierck, George Ley, Frank Sierck and Frank Furniss. Many others in tend to take a ride on his return trip. Mr. Hyden returned from Los An geles, where he has been visiting his sister. Mr. and Mrs. ©. A. Myers returned home Friday after visiting with friends in the bay cities. Miss Marguerite Harpe and Bert Gibson were visitors with friends in Willits Sunday. Robert Buckman was a business visitor in Ukiah Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. C. Cooper and son, Clifford, were visitors in Oakland the past week. Mr.'‘and Mrs.‘Lem Sallady, of San Francisco, are visiting with’ Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Patteson. Miss Mabel Nelson, who is a mis sionary nurse in Persia, spent New Years day with her sister, Mrs. Geo. Poor. Mrs. James Clendenin returned home after spending a week with relatives in San Francisco. Mrs. Frank Sierck has been quite ill for the past two weeks, but is now slowly recovering. A party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sierck last Saturday night. Cards and dancing were en joyed by the many friends who at tended.
