OBITUARYMr. John Shebetka was born in Bohemia, February 25, 1853 and passed away at his home here, Wednesday, January 6, 1926 at the age of 72 years 10 months and 11 days. He came to this country with his parents in 1871 and located in Jefferson Township, Johnson county, Iowa, later moving to Oxford Towfaship.On March 25, 1883 he was united in marriage to Jennie Vavricek of Western, Iowa. To this union was born one son, Frank.Mr. and Mrs. Shebetka resided on a farm in Oxford township until Dec. 1915 at which time they retired moving to Oxford, where they have since made their home.Besides his wife and son, he leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers and one sister. They are Joseph of Solon; Frank and Wesley of Swisher; and Mrs. Mike Shupitar of Vails, la.Funeral services were conducted on Friday afternoon from the home, with Rev. Frank Pokoroney of Ely, Iowa, officiating. Interment was made in the Oxford cemetery.nf:bagncvccw1
