Miserable rendition of I.onf-slt cct’s Rebels.From the Louisville Jonr , Jan. 2d.Tuesday night we witnessed .1 scene that beggar* description Five hundred rehel prisoner* were brought in from Camp No Non, and without exception, they wore the most wretched looking set wc have seen since the cominoncnint of the war. Many of the poor fellows were in their shirt sleeves and barefoot ed. They were nearly starved, and their capture will undoubtedly save tin most of them from a miserable death. Men were eap*u:rd from LongstrcctV command, and they ft ate that his en tire armv is in the same miserable con-ditiop- They appeared to Ik* well sat Ntied with the change they have expo rioneed,and, in fact, ooogmtulatothem selves upon their happy deliverance from the tcrriblc condition in which they wore placed.There were twenty commissioned of ficers among them, ranking fiom Cnlo oncl down to Lieutenants, hut we cmildnerceivo no distinction in tl.oir dressfrom the piivates. Th«»se of them who could boast of an old piece of carpet, or the remnants of what was once a shawl or blanket,appstred to he looked upon with envy by their less fortunate comrades. They were confined in•the Military Prison, and will he sent to one of the X01 them camps in a few days.
