Funeral Services Held Saturday For Mrs. Phyllis HarrisMrs. Phyllis Harris, 3104 N. Institute St., Colorado Springs passed away Wednesday, January 5 after a lengthy illness.Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. R. M. Gardner,ยง resident, and Dennis Maroney, ishop, conducted the rites.Bunal was in the Simla Cemetery with George Wright dedicating at the grave.Pallbearers were Don Cruik-shank, George Whyte, George Cisneros, Pete Aragon, Knute Winsell and Franklin Maytubby.Phyllis was born September 9, 1905 in Trask, Missouri.She moved to Colorado with her family and graduated from Simla High School in 1924.She married Herbert Charles Harris in Colorado Springs and they resided in Simla where their children were born.The family moved to Colorado Springs in 1955.Phyliss lived for others and spent much time in the service of her church and with her friends and family. Her grandchildren all have quilts and af-Sans by which to remember leir loving grandmother.She exemplified patience and long suffering always and her last illness was her final test of her faithfulness.She is survived by her husband, Herbert Harris; two sons, Darrel Harris of Woodland Park and Terry Harris of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Lila Ann Ensign of Reston, Virginia; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Gifford Shipman, Pacific Beach, California, and David Shipman, Littleton; and four sisters, Etta Roberts and Ida Morgan of Colorado Springs, Myrtle Snoke, Grand Junction, and Pauline Dyche of Madison, Colorado.
