Mrs. Dan Volk, of Hamburg, suff ered a paralytic stroke early Mon day morning and lived only until the following morning. Mrs. Volk, who was about fifty years of age, had always enjoyed ex cellent health and retired Sunday ev ening feeling as well as usual. Mr. Volk noticed, upon arising Monday morning that she held her hand to her head and receiving no reply to his inquiry as to whether she was not feeling well, he assisted her back to the bed and immediately summon ed medical aid, but she was beyond the aid of human skill and the fol owing morning sank into the sleep that knows no waking. Services will be held at Hambure Friday morning and the husband and other relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in this sorrow which came to them so unexpectedly.
