Savannah, Ga-, Jan. 8 —Stories froth Atlanta of a copy of ah ancient newspaper found there a paper in which the account of the death of President Washington ap peared, brought out an older paper here today. O. Herr exhibited a copy of volum 1, No, of the Baltimore and Maryland Journal and Advertiser, dated August 20th, 1773—14:8 years old.That sheet contained an advertisement inserted by George Wash ington when he was surveying [lands on the Ohio river. Tt contained also a notice of a reward offered for a runaway slave—not a negro slave, but a white man, an Irish slave* The reward was ten pounds.The old paper had foreign news of the partition of Poland by the emperors of Russia an Austria and the Ring of Piussia. Mr. Herr has alsot among other relics of the times ago handed down to him from generations gone, one of the first tickets ever sold by the Cen“ tral of Pensylvania, the yellow slip being “good for one half Seat.” - Ex.
