The Alpha Upsilon Chap ter of ESA held its regular monthly meeting Jan. 9 at the home of Hazel Amis. A total of 11 members attended. President Frankie Weck worth called the meeting to order and minutes and roll call were handled by Tricia Swift. Gina Bassett gave the treasurer’s report Chaplin Harriet Malott opened the meeting by reading several poems per taining to the new year. Club members went over correspondence. Among the pieces received were thank you notes from Hazel Kinkema and Sheila Mas sey. Christmas cards were received from Hollie San ders and Joyce Hodgin. The club also received a letter from Mickey McDonald, State Philan tropic Chairman, asking the chapter to be thinking about a new state philan tropic project. Members also discussed the district meeting to be held in T or C on Feb. 25. The chapter voted to have its annual St. Pat rick’s Day dance on Satur day, March 17. Club members also talked about chartering a new group in Animas. Phyl lis McCutchan volunteered to write to club head quarters for information pertaining to forming a new chapter. Kathy Lee has been reac tivated into the sorority again. The January meeting adjourned with the closing ritual and refreshments were served. Those attending the ses sion were: Hazel Amis, Regina Bassett, Linda Kuenstler, Harriet Malott, Bobbie Massey, Sheila Massey, Dustie Mauzy, Phyllis McCutchan, Tricia Swift, Frankie Weckworth, and Clydia Frazier.
