SUFFERS FROM EXPOSUREI !■! ii#■THorncreek Farmer Loses Seven Fingers From Cold.COLUMBIA CITY, Ind., Jan. 12.— William Stayer, aged 70 years, a resident of Thorn creek township haa all of the fingers of his left hand and the thumb and little finger of his right hand amputated yesterday afternoon at his home. The amputation was necessary because of severe frost bites contracted on the evening of December 8- iStayer was on his way home when hie team gave out. Unhitching one of the horsee he mounted it and attempted to push on towards home. He became lost, however, and was found the following morning astride of the horse, but in an unconscious condition in the yard of his home.
