Mr. Dale M. Bushman, 68, of Route 4, Delphi, this life at 2:04 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 1989, in the Emergency Room of St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, Lafayette. Born September 5, 1920, in Frankfort, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas Warren Bushman and Jennie Evelyn Lee..On October 16, 1949, he was married in Kokomo to Virginia Martin, and she preceded him in passing in 1970. On June 23, 1974, Mr. Bushman was married in Delphi to Neda Bini Coghill, and she survives. Dale worked as a machine repairman at Chrysler in Kokomo for 31 years, retiring on October 29, 1976. Since his marriage to Neda, he has lived at the Carroll Manor where is wife is the Superinten dant. A 1939 graduate of Pulaski High School, Dale was a Veteran of World War II, having served in Africa and Italy with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served with the 48th Fighter Squadron and the 14th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force. While living in Kokomo, Mr. Bushman was a former member and Deacon of the Southside Christian Church there. He was a former choir member of St. Joseph's Church in Delphi, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the U.A.W. Local 685 Kokomo. Dale was a private pilot after World War II, and was an avid flying enthusiast. ( Maceibaben P wife, Neda, are one daughter, Mrs. Mark Plough of Kokomo; one son, Mr. Gregory. K. Bushman of Simpsonville, South Carolina; one step-son, Mr. William Coghill, Sheriff of Carroll County; four step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary A.) Best of West Point, Mrs. Dennis (Martha) Lewis of Delphi, Mrs. Neda Kay Duff, Carroll County Assessor, and Mrs. Cathy Lehe of Brookston; two brothers, Edward Bushman of Winamac and Wayne Bushman of Gables, Nevada; one sister, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Peters of Kokomo; three grandchildren and 11 step grandchildren. Services for Mr. Dale M. Bushman were held Saturday, January 7, 1989, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Delphi, the Father Donald Hardebeck and Father Ambrose Ziegler of ficiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens, Kokomo. The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund or Diabetes Association.
