' \ •» / -• » *. « *•. • ....GARY GLENN S9UHRABA TODD SOUHRADA Gary Glenn Souhrada, the sen ©f John andGlenn Souhrada was bom June lO. 1#35asnrcon, South Dakota and died suddenly result of a tragic automobile accidenttogether with his seven year old son Todd on January 2, 1973, He was 37 years old,Mr. Souhrada received his early schooling in the Vermillion Grade Schools and graduated from the High School in the year 1954.Upon graduation he attended the University of South Dakota receiving his B.S. 0egree in1962 and a M.A. Degree in 1970.On June 3, 1962 he was united in marriage to Julie Bottolfson in the Bergen Church at Meekling, South Dakota. To this union was born a son Todd on the 13th. of December,1965 and a daughter Judy. Todd attended the Ruthven Grade School and the United Methodist Church School. The Souhrada»s made their residence in Vermillion until 1968 when they moved to the Ruthven community, their presen-residence. jMr. Souhrada was a teacher, he joined the staff of the Ruthven High School four years ago and taught Mathematics and Social Stu- dies in the High School. He was a member ofthe Congregational Church at Vermillion, So.Dakota and belonged to the Order of FreeMr. ^ns 0 '' j.nrviving are his wife Julie, his daughter! Judy, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Souhrada of Vermillion, South Dakota.Memorial services were conducted in the Ruthven Consolidated School, Friday January j 5th. at 3:00 P.M. by the Rev. F. G. Samek for the entire student body and members of the community. T» A. Christiansen was organist with Lynn Swan as Soloist.Memorial services were held in the Congregational Church, in Vermillion, South Dakota January 6, 1973 at 3:00 P.M. Rev. F. G,Samek and Rev. Russ Tarver,, officiating, ouck Noble atrthe Organ with Marlys Milleri Scloistiver son Funeral Home, Vermillion, South ,'akota in Charge of Services, Interment in jluff View, Vermillion, So* Dakota. .Vllbearers were: Tom Chaney, Red Blaske, Gayle Davis, Jr. Iverson, Jr- Brunick, Brook Davis, Alan JHiterbaugh, Jim Heisler, Wesley Johnson and Dean Hanson.
