Mont.. Jan. 11.—Word lias been received here of the trouble at the Northern Cheyenne Indian agency at Lame Deer. From the meager reports received it appears that the agent sent for an Indian named White, saying lie desired to interview him about souk* matter. White refused to go and a posse of Indian police was sent for him. He shot one policeman named Bullard and then killed himself. Out of respect for her deceased brave, the wife and also the daughter of White committed suicide. This caused great excitement among the Indians. There is one troop of soldiers stationed at Lame Deer, but reinforcements have been sent for. There is no telephone connection with the agency and information is difficult, to obtain, but the stage driver this evening brought word here that the Indians were still troublesome and were conducting th? war dance.'Proop F.
