•SMITH.Harrison Smith, wlio has been in poor health for some time, passed away Saturday evening and in his death the community lost an upright citizen, the wife a kind and affectionate husband and the children an indulgent lather. In February, 1S9S, he suffered a slight stroke of paralysis. Fro in that time tils health had been steadily on the decline. Ten days previous to his death there seemed to lie a general breaking down of his system, but he kept up until Wednesday when he was taken to his bed from which he never got up.Air. Smith was born in Culpepper county, Virginia, October 17, 1816. From there he moved to Ohio, where he resided until 1857 when he moved to LaG range where he had ever since resided. A more extended obituary will appear next week-The luneral was held from the M. E. church Monday afternoon. Rev E. E Neal conducting the ser vices and the remains were laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery.
