tend.Death of a Pioneer Farmer.Mr. Valentine Wills, a well known and prosperous farmer, died at his r* g dence, a few miles East of New Philadelpeia, O., on the morning of Jan. 3rd, 1894. The disease, we believe, was cancer of the stomach. He was 69 years and 4 months old.Mr. Wills came to Tuscarawas county when he was about 8 years old. By economy and industry he amassed considerable property and may be classed with the most prosperous farmers and stock breeder i of Tuscarawas county. Mr. W. was a man who was strictly honest. His word was as good as a bond. He was charitable and freely gave to the poor and needy, as the writer well knows. He died possessed of about 2,000 acres of land, part of which is in Goshen and Dover townships, and is well improved with valuable buildings and under a high state of cultivation. His estate was devised by will, pretty evenly among his family. He was buried on Friday last in the N. P. cemetry. Rev. Loomis officiating.DEATH OF ELIZABETH WOLF.
