News—Maihs, c.—In the way of news this week, we are perfectly barren. The high state of the streams has prevented the transportation of the mail, ?nd the consequence is that wc have been without a southern mail since Sunday last. We understand that most of the bridges on the Michigan road south of this have been carried away or rendered entirely uselessby the late freshet. The road in its present condition is as nearly impassable as can be, and we fear it will remain so for several days.
