RIVER FALLS — An intentional foul called on Mondovi (1-3, 4-5) in the closing seconds of the game helped River Falls (3-1, 5-3) take a 63-62 win over the Buffaloes in Middle Border Conference action Friday night. Mondovi opened a 22-17 lead in the first quarter and held a 36-30 lead at the half. But the Wildcats stayed even with the Buffaloes in the third period and then broke loose in the fourth quarter, outscor ing the Buffaloes 15-8 to close the up. John Mahnke sank the two foul shots for the Wildcats to give them Middle Border the lead and possession as the clock ticked off. Matt Woiwode led the River Falls attack with 19 points; Chad Christianson added 14 and Bill Johnston 13 for the Wildcats.
