MUNSTER—If twins start to school at Munster in future years at the rate they dig this school year, school officials will begin to doubt statistics. The Encyclopaedia Britannica states that official birth rec ords show approximately one twin birth in 100 births. Kindergarten classes at Elliott and Eads schools include five sets of twins. Kindergarten enrollment totals 247—102 at El liott and 148 at Eads. That's twice as many twins as statistics indicate. But the entire school system, with its enrollment of 1,478— 528 at Elliott, 573 at Eads and 377 at Lanier, is short a couple sets of twins in meeting the staticlival average. There are 12 sets of twins in the school system. Many of the twins are in separate Classes,allowing a policy recommended to parents. Frank Hammond, superintendent of Munster schools, said the separation policy is recommended sn thit each individual can be his own personal self. “Observation shows,’ Hammond explained, that one of the twins will tend to be a bit more dominant. One will depend on the other more and more.
