Henry Gutierrez, 133 pounds, with eight knockouts in a row be hind him, is going out for his ninth KO. Lightweight division champion Charles Gonzales will meet Gilbert Garcia, 134 pounds, of the El Paso club. Joe Baeza and Zeke (Apache Rod) Rivera are also slated to appear, Tarazon said. Champions of the El Paso Nov ice division will participate in open division competition for the first time. Other top El Paso trophy holders of the 1955 open division fighting are scheduled to show, Tarazon said. Pete Mendoza is trainer and manager of the El Paso club found ed by the Rev. Harold J. Rahm of the Civic Religious Sport and Social Organization of El Paso. Hurley’s club champion, Willie Enriquez, 145-pound boxer with five years fighting chalked up in experience, and Master Boxer Manuel Martinez, 134-pounds, are slated to meet 136-pound Jimmie Ortiz of the Apache Village club and Pedro Gonzales, 130-pounds, of El Paso. Admission for the bouts are ringside, $1.75, General Admission $1, and school children, 50 cents, Sponsor Ortega said.
