Pittsfield, Mass.—(4—A soda fountain sundae was banned as a fire hazard Monday by Fire Chief Thomas F. Burke. The ice cream concoction, fea tured by a local drug store, was known at the “Flaming Nut Sundae.” It consisted of 8 half pint of ice cream, one and a half ounces of hot fudge, an ounce of Marsh~ ‘mallow, cure of sugar, nuts land three drops of lemon ex tract. The extract, containing 170 per cent alcohol, was ret ablazed before serving. 4 Burke ruled the delicacy was a fire hazard to fur coats, sweat ers and cotton dresses.
