FLYERS BEGIN GROUNDCOURSE OF TWO WEEKSIN AVIATION SCHOOLFaculty Members Head Ground Work HereThe Sul Ross branch of the C. A. A. student flying school has been fully organized with faculty Appointments approved for ground echool instruction scheduled to gtart this week. Dr. Malone Hill, official medical examiner, has been busy with a schedule of physical examinations for applicants beginning Ja. 2. J. O. Casparis, pilot instructor, is scheduled to start individual flying instruction for student pilots just as fast as students complete two weeks of preliminary instruction. Ground school work is open to all students and will carry college credit. Instructors for the ground school this week are: Dr. C. B. Casey,History of Aviation; Dr. G. P.Smith, Civil Aeronautics Regulations; Prof. J. C. Coleman. Meter-clogy; and Prof. C. A. Gilley, Flying Instruction. Just as fast as these units are completed others will follow. Prof. V. J. Smith will give instruction in Engines and Radio and Prof. F. G. Walker will present the course on Instruments. It is expected that the entire course will be completed by May 1, with ample time for final Tcview and the tests required of flying students. Students carrying a full class load have been advised to drop one subject when the full ground school work starts about Feb. 1.Prof. V. J. Smith has requested students interested in either the flying course of the ground school instruction to interview him as soon as possible.1I1«(Ilt;
