Chena Man Must Stand Trial Before Jury for Attempt ed Shooting. Thomas Haggart, of Chena, was indicted by the grand jury yester day morning on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. The as sault is alleged to have been made on Richard Stein on the night of December 26. The altercation is said to have taken place in the Whitehorse saloon, at which time Haggart pulled a revolver on Stein and it was discharged during a scuffle that ensued between Haggart and William Zacharias, who inter vened. The bullet did no harm. Haggart was arraigned yesterday afternoon and was given until 2 o’clock this afternoon to plead. As he had no counsel, Guy B. Erwin was appointed by the court to de fend the Chena man.
