Richardson and Fred Hos-tetter and Scott Craig of Mecca were driving over to Clinton Thursday night to catch the 12 o’clock street car for Terre Haute, when they were waylaid at the east endof the railroad bridge by a colored♦man who used a double barrel shot gun, shooting Richardson in the arm and Hostter was also hit in the arm, several shots taking effect, Dr. I. D. White taking 1G shot from Hos-tter’s arm and clothes that had penetrated the wound, Craig escaped with slight injury. Several shot hit the horse and cut the lines in two.
