FATA I. ACCIDENT,We ire apprised hy letter of a fatal accident which occurred near the residence of Mr. JoatPH Wilsoh, living west of Mound City, On the morning of the 1st inst., it about two o’clock, as a daughter of Mr. Wilson, in company with Mr. $, Meek, was returning from a party nt Mound City, the couple found in the road the lifeless body of N. D. P. Wilson, a brother of tho lady. The deceased had passed the couple a short timo before, riding a mule. When discovered his nose had been bleeding, and it is thought be had fallen from the mule in a fainting fit and broken his nock. The lidter was tied around bis neck and the mule standing still, but it wm evident ho had been dragged some distance by the animal. It was his habit to tie the halter around himself when riding. Mr. W. was about nineteen years of age and highly respected by all who know him.
