GUST A KRUSEAURELIA — Gust A. Kruse who was bom April 27. 1886 In Varmland. Sweden, died Dec. 19 at the age of 82 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Sioux City after an illness of severalmonths.He had heen baptized and confirmed in Sweden in the Swedish Lutheran faith before coming at the age of 19 to the United States.On Oct. 21. 1908, he was married to Emma Betchei who preceded him in death in May, 1948.He farmed north of Aurelia until 1920 when he moved to Aurelia.Surviving are one daughter. Mrs Ruby Johnson, and one son. Raymond Kruse, both of Aurelia; four grandchildren and three great-g r a n d e h i 1 dren. Three brothers. Axel Kruse of Alta. Fred of Chicago and Fabian of Aurelia and three sisters. Marie of Chicago and Frieda and Emma, both of Sweden, are other survivors.Funeral services were held Dec. 23 at Wharton FuneralHome with Rev. Jack Speer, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating.Burial was in Elk Township Cemetery. Eric Carlson, Melvin Johnson, Paul Rebhuhn, Roy Matzdrff, Howard Andersen and Lou Pfaff served as pallbearers.
