Camden Physician Is Named President Of MedicsDr. Sam A. Thompson of Camden, was elected president of the Fifth Councilor District Medica' Society for 1936 at its annual meeting in El Dorado Tuesdaynight. He succeeds Dr. J. J. Baker of Magnolia. This district comprises Union, Columbia, Ouachita. Bradley, Dallas, Lafayette, and Calhoun counties.Other officers elected were Dr.W. P. Cooksey of Magnolia, vice president; and Dr. Berry Moore of El Dorado, secretary-treasurer. Dr. Thompson was secretary-treasurer in 1935.Physicians from the fifth councilor district attended the ban-ouet and program at the Hotel Randolph. Scientific talks were made by Dr. D. E. White of El Dorado; Dr. Eugene Rosamond andDr. George R. Livermore, bothof Memphis, Tenn.The Rev. David Shepperson gave the invocation, and Mayor George E, Crosley made the address of welcome. A feature ot the program was a dance by Miss Hazel Griffin.
