truck for the Shell Oil Company. Rupert Krenz and other friends spent a very pleasant evening at Wil liam Gowen’s last Saturday listening to music and other entertainment via radio. Jess Ellis and his son Everett, for merly partners in the Brunerstown store, have dissolved partnership and the business will now ‘be conducted under the firm name of J. L. Ellis in stead of Ellis Son as formerly, Herndon Irwin, while returning from Indianapolis, lost control of the machine near Mr. Boatright’s and ran into the ditch. A team was neces sary to extricate the auto from its predicament. No serious injuries re sulted to the machine or its owner. Rupert Kreny who formerly residus in this community and who has been spending the past week visiting friends, departed Monday for Terri Haute to remain a few days with his mother, after which he will leave for Houston, Texas, where he has a job with a pipe-fitting company. Several in this place attended the vaudeville at Greencastle Satur day. Mrs. ©. W. Bales went to Roach dale Sunday to attend the funeral of little Katherine Yeager. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Torr and fam ily took last Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Torr. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Shuey and daughter ate supper with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shuey Sunday night. Mr. Baldwin who has had the flu is much better, Sunday visitors of Miss Leoma Toney were Miss Edna Hutcheson, Foster Jones and Clyde Carrington. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thomas spent Sunday evening with Mrs. Addie Clif ford. Saturday evening callers at Mrs. Cliford’s were Mary and Ross Fur ney and Lucille and Reba Hutcheson. Mr. Toney is still confined to his home with a severe cold.
